Child prodigy Dnyaneshwari’s rendition enthralls music lovers

Devotional songs like “Abeer gulal udhalit rang, Natha ghari nache, Maza sakha Pandurang….”, “Kanha Raja Pandharicha, Vedanahi kalala nahi antapar yacha…” by child prodigy Dnyaneshwari Gadge, along with ‘abhangs’, ‘natya sangeet’, and classical renditions took the audience into a state of spiritual bliss.

The occasion marked the 13th death anniversary of Matoshree Veenadevi Jawaharlal Darda, commemorated with a soulful musical evening titled “Swaranjali – A Tribute in Melody” at the Darda Matoshree Auditorium, Yavatmal, on Saturday.

Dnyaneshwari, the winner of Sur Jyotsna National Music Award 2025 and a Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs 2022 fame artiste, made Saturday night unforgettable for music lovers in Yavatmal with her tender yet powerful vocals.

The event began with chairman of editorial board of Lokmat Media Group and former member of Rajya Sabha Dr Vijay Darda offering floral tributes and lighting the traditional lamp in front of the portraits of veteran freedom fighter Jawaharlal Darda alias Babuji and Matoshree Veenadevi Darda.  Also present were  Editor-in-Chief of Lokmat Media Group and former minister for school education Rajendra Darda, district head of Lokmat office  Kishor Darda, MLA Balasaheb Mangulkar, former MLA Kirti Gandhi, and Dnyaneshwari’s guru Ganesh Gadge.

Dnyaneshwari’s repertoire included classics like “Mangal Bhagwan Vishnu”, “Jai Jai Ram Krishna Hari”, “Payoji Maine Ram Ratan Dhan Payo”, “Kuhu-Kuhu Bole Koyaliya”, “Mere Dholna Sun Mere Pyar Ki Dhoon”, “Baje Re Muraliya Baje”, and a mesmerising ‘abhang’ “Vitthal… Vitthal… Vitthal…” rendered in a pure classical style. Her performance captivated the audience, many of whom joined in chanting the holy name, filling the hall with devotion and applause.

She was accompanied by Parimal Joshi on the keyboard, Akash Saitbal on flute, Aniruddha Surpekar on harmonium, Nandu Gohane on octapad, Shridhar Korde on pakhawaj, and Prashant Nagmote on tabla.

Prof Ajay Kolarkar anchored the Swaranjali event.

Dnyaneshwari and her guru felicitated

Dnyaneshwari’s first guru is her father, Ganesh Gadge. She is currently undergoing  classical music training under Vidushi Apoorvatai Gokhale in Thane. As a mark of respect, Dr. Vijay Darda honoured Dnyaneshwari and her guru Ganesh Gadge with a shawl, coconut, and a bouquet. The accompanying musicians were also felicitated by Kishor Darda.

CD ‘Waat Chalali Pandhari’ released

The CD “Waat Chalali Pandhari, Pandurangachya Charani”, composed by  head of the music department at Amolakchand Mahavidyalaya Dr Rahul Ekbote was released by Dr Vijay Darda and Rajendra Darda at the event.
