Another feather in JDIET Yavatmal’s cap as NAAC awards A+ grade

The local Jawaharlal Darda Institute of  Engineering and Technology (JDIET) run by Jawaharlal Darda Education Society, has been awarded A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). This has  further endorsed the rich values of the institute being run for the last 25 years.

NAAC evaluate the performance of colleges and universities across the country and gives its gradation.

A high-level committee inspected the parametres set up by NAAC at JDIET recently. Based on the findings and the merits of the college after the inspection, NAAC awarded A+ grade to JDIET.

The NAAC committee members were on a two-day tour of JDIET on March 13 and 14.

During its tour, the NAAC team inspected different facilities available in the college including lab, library, research work, training and placement, computer section, sports facilities, hostel and other facilities. Based on the findings of the facilities, the NAAC team awarded A+ grade to the institute.

JDIET was established in 1996 in Yavatmal district known as tirbal and backward district with a view to provide quality education to the youths of Yavatmal city and district. The college has always been giving priority to  quality education.

It has a lab equipped with modern equipment and facilities. Over 8,000 students of the college are now working in 26 different countries.

The institute has a dedicated centre for research and start-up, which is affiliated to the micro, small and medium entriprise (MSME) ministry. The institute is also certified by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL)  and International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).

JDIET regularly holds campus interviews for placements in national as well as international companies.

The college building is spread over 3 lakh square metres equipped with digital laboratory. It also has a hostel equipped with all modern facilities. Its library has over 53,000 books.

Moreover, training workshops are being regularly organised in the institute for the overall development of the students. Earlier, JDIET has been adjudged with a number of renowned awards, which was also taken into consideration by the NAAC team.

On the latest achievement, founder president of Jawaharlal Darda Education Society Dr Vijay Darda, president Devendra Darda, secretary Kishore Darda along with all the office-bearers of the institute have congratulated principal Dr Ramchandra Tatvavadi, NAAC coordinator Dr Sachin Bhalerao, all the teaching and non-teaching staff of the institute.
