Housing minister Atul Save assures delegation during his visit to city

The State government will extend full support to the developmental works being done by Sakal Jain Samaj at Nagpur, assured state housing minister Atul Save while interacting with a delegation of Jain community members here on Wednesday.
Housing and OBC welfare minister Atul Save was on a visit to the city on Wednesday for the inauguration of hostels for other backward classes. A delegation led by the national president of Sakal Jain Samaj, chairman of editorial board of Lokmat Media Group and a former member of Rajya Sabha Dr Vijay Darda called on him on the occasion.
Prominent members of the delegation included, Ujjwal Pagariya, Rajan Dhadda, Atul Kotecha, Nikhil Kusumgar, Anil Parakh, Manish Mehta, Santosh Pendhari, Naresh Patni, Nitin Khara, Dilip Ranka and others. A large number of women also participated in the delegation.
Sakal Jain Samaj has procured land at Nagpur for social, academic and religious work of the Jain community where it intends to undertake various activities for the minority Jain community.
The delegation urged the minister to assist in securing permissions of the State government for the endeavour. It also asked for 15 per cent space for commercial use and submitted a memorandum to the minister.
Save told the delegation that chief minister Eknath Shinde and both deputy chief ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar have been apprised about the demands of Sakal Jain Samaj.
The issue will be discussed with CM and DyCMs and demand of Sakal Jain Samaj will be positively considered and complete cooperation will be extended to the Samaj, he added.

The national president of Sakal Jain Samaj Dr Vijay Darda said that an independent delegation also met deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis seeking his cooperation in fulfillment of demands of the Jain community. Dr Darda said that Fadnavis has assured of complete cooperation in the matter.
