On the occasion of the golden jubilee of Nagpur edition of ‘Lokmat’, old correspondents and agents were felicitated and 10 women of achievement in various fields were honoured with Sakhi Sanman awards at Gondia on Thursday.

On this occasion, veteran  actor Jackie Shroff, chairman of JSW Group Sajjan Jindal, managing director of Manugraph India Ltd Pradeep Shah along with the chairman of editorial board of Lokmat Media and former member of Rajya Sabha Vijay Darda, MLA Manohar Chandrikapure, director (operations) of Lokmat Media Ashok Jain, executive editor of Lokmat Shrimant Mane, senior editor of Lokmat Samachar Vikas Mishra, senior general manager (circulation) Santosh Chipda, Gondia office head Milind Wadhai, district correspondent of Lokmat Ankush Gundawar, district correspondent of Lokmat Samachar Mukesh Sharma, executive assistant Rajesh Kohale, district convenor of Sakhi Manch Jyotsna Shahare and others were present.

Late Jawaharlal Darda started ‘Lokmat’ through which he raised the issues of the people from the weaker sections of the society. This work has been continued by the chairman of editorial board of Lokmat Media and former member of Rajya Sabha Vijay Darda.
