Music is humanity & music resides in humanity, says Dr Vijay Darda

Music is a life-enhancing tool and it can touch our souls by evoking powerful emotions. Music teaches the art of living and also has the power to soothe emotions and tug at the strings of our mind. In fact, music is humanity and music resides in humanity, asserted chairman of editorial board of Lokmat Media Group and former member of Rajya Sabha Dr Vijay Darda while addressing the audience at the Sur Jyotsna National Music Awards-2024 distribution ceremony. Music plays in the temple of God but actually music is the divine power. Music is essential for the brain. The question is, how will the person’s brain work in whose life there is no music? Music transcends barriers of caste, creed, and religion, serving as the universal language of love. Music adds value to life. To ensure continuity of Indian music, it is essential to bolster music industry. This is why I have chosen to institute a music award in honour of Jyotsna Darda, a life-long practitioner of music.
