Lokmat Media Group chairman Dr Vijay Darda & MD Devendra Darda meet MP CM

In a major decision, the Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh governments would jointly collaborate on the Tapi Basin Mega Recharge Scheme, which is poised to become the world’s largest groundwater recharge project.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) is expected to be signed by both the states by March-end, with the programme to be attended by Union Jal Shakti minister C R Patil and Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, revealed Madhya Pradesh chief minister Dr Mohan Yadav during a meeting here with chairman of editorial board of Lokmat Media Group and former member of Rajya Sabha Dr Vijay Darda and managing director & editorial director of Lokmat Media Group Devendra Darda.
“The project will benefit two districts of Madhya Pradesh and four districts of Maharashtra by boosting the groundwater levels, thereby benefiting a large population,” the chief minister said, adding that there is no deadlock over the joint project, emphasising that all preparations are on track for a smooth implementation.
Global Investor Summit
outcome encouraging
In addition to the groundwater recharge initiative, Dr Mohan Yadav also discussed the encouraging outcomes of the recently-concluded Global Investor Summit in Bhopal. The chief minister noted that while all investment proposals would be given due consideration, those exceeding `100 crore would be specially tracked.
For this, officers have been given the responsibility to stay in constant touch with the investors and ensure encouraging results. He also said efforts have been made to encourage local investments and increase employment opportunities by organising regional industrial conclaves before the summit.

Chairman of editorial board of Lokmat Media Group and former member of Rajya Sabha Dr Vijay Darda, during his meeting with Madhya Pradesh chief minister Dr Mohan Yadav discussed the close relations between Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region. The meeting also touched upon the prospect of developing a new industrial corridor linking adjoining areas of Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha. Dr Darda proposed the idea, to which the chief minister responded affirmatively, assuring to implement the proposal.
MP CM Yadav to unveil Jawaharlal Darda statue
On the request of chairman of editorial board of Lokmat Media Group and former member of Rajya Sabha Dr Vijay Darda, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Dr Mohan Yadav agreed to unveil the statue of veteran freedom fighter and Lokmat Media Group’s founder editor Jawaharlal Darda alias ‘Babuji’ installed at Victoria Hospital in Jabalpur. During the meeting, Dr Darda also presented his books to the chief minister.
