Offers anniversary edition, prasad; prays for human welfare, everlasting service

The 50th anniversary day of Lokmat became memorable on Wednesday. The day began with ringing of bells and Ganesh Vandana at Tekdi Ganesh Mandir in the morning. The day ended at various shrines with prayers and spreading of interfaith harmony. Lokmat which has taken a pledge to maintain inter-religious harmony and tolerance from the very beginning, paid homage at all shrines in the city on Wednesday to commemorate on the occasion of golden jubilee. The anniversary issue and prasad were offered at these shrines.

Chairman of editorial board of Lokmat Media and former member of Rajya Sabha Vijay Darda accompanied by managing director Devendra Darda took darshan of Tekdi Ganesh and offered 50-kg laddu.

Later, Vijay Darda visited Gurudwara Guru Ramdaspeth and took blessings. Mukhya granthi kathavachak Gyani Charansingh Chann and sewak Amrutpalsingh Sachdev read out ‘Ardas’.

Darda also visited Deekshabhoomi which gives message of peace and Buddhism to the world and offered prayers.

He paid floral tributes to the statues of Lord Gautam Buddha and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar took darshan of urn. On the occasion, ‘Panchsheel Grahan’ was performed in presence of Bhante Sugat, trustee of Deekshabhoomi Smarak Samiti Vilas Gajghate, principal of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar College Dr Bhuvaneshwari Mehare, Nilu Bhagat, Madhukar Meshram and Bhante Mahatitss.

The chairman of Lokmat Media also sought blessings at Motha Tajbag which is a place of worship for the people of Nagpur and Vidarbha and did ‘jiyarat’ by carrying flowers and chadar on head. The ‘chadar’ was offered on the dargha in presence of chairman of Hazrat Baba Tajuddin Trust Pyare Jiakhan and secretary Taj Ahmad Raja. Khadim Abdul Hasan Taji and Khadim Azaruddin Taji read ‘Fatiya’.

Prayer for peace, harmony and stability in the country, good health for all was made.

A special prayer was also offered for the continuation of Lokmat’s humanitarian services uninterrupted. On the occasion, dargah head Nasin Sayyad Talef Baba, Sayyad Mohammad Mobin Taji of Khuddam Dargah Trust, Qadarbhai, Rahul and employees were present.

A prayer was also made at the Holy Family Church in Untkhana. Prayer centre at Home For Aged and Handicapped was also visited by Darda.

On the occasion, secretary Irean, superintendent Ida, manager Divya and member Marya were prominently present. Darda also mentioned his opinion in the remark book a the Home for Aged and Handicapped.

The visit was completed in the evening at the Jain Temple at Darda’s residence in Rahate Colony. He also offered prayer there.

Blessings from Geetabai Taksande

While returning from Deekshabhoomi, Geetabai Taksande, an elderly woman happened to meet. Aware of Lokmat’s struggle for social welfare, she recalled some old memories making mention of Babuji. She also gave blessings to Lokmat for a bright future on its golden jubilee.
