The speakers emphasised that poems are the lifestream of society. They face the truth couregously and share it with society. If we want to keep society on the right path, this courage is important. It is good that women are on the forefront in the world of poetry writing today.

Poetry makes us fearless in scary environment

Special guest Ashok Vajpeyi said it is the duty of poetry to speak truth in an environment of lies. Poetry must be fearless in a scary environment. It is the work of poetry to remember and preserve memories and depict them. The world is not changed by the crowd, it is the people alone who have changed society. Unfortunately, people have started dreaming small. The poetry believes that humans will always have options available to them. He criticised the system, saying religion and politics have been domesticated today. We will have to continue lighting the lamp of protest by following the path of Mahatma Gandhi.

Trying to fill the fog with light

Presiding over the programme, senior journalist and writer Alok Mehta said this book has pain as well as hope. The poetess has shared her life experiences through poetry. He said Tyagi’s poems are shades of love and serious issues. They also try to fill the dense fog with light.

Women are walking epics

Special guest Shashi Shekhar, while sharing his childhood memories with poets in Allahabad, said, a woman is a walking epic in herself. Tyagi has proved this true through her book. She will become a strong signature in the times to come and the whole world will feel her poetic journey.

Poems show the way to society

Chief guest Dr Vijay Darda said there is a poet hidden in every person. It depends on how much opportunity we give one to come out. If you want to express your inner feelings, then poems come out easily. Poems are the mirror of society. They show the way. Dr Darda said poetry has great importance in life. On the occasion, he also recited a poem he himself had composed.

There is darkness as well as light

Special guest Supriya Shrinate said this evening of discussion with the magicians of words will be unforgettable. In Tyagi’s poems, there is darkness at some places and light at others. There are some deep thoughts in her poems, which touch the heart. If a writer touches the heart of the reader, then his/her writing becomes successful. This is significant in Tyagi’s poems.

Poems are meaningful

Special guest Dr Harish Bhalla discussed the changes in the forms of poetry from ancient times to the present and the impact of poetry on society. He narrated the history of the journey of poetry in an authentic manner. He said the more poems are written, the more meaningful they will prove to be for society. Tyagi’s poems are meaningful.

I see poems in every particle

Sharing her creative experiences, Tyagi said there was a phase in her life when there was a thick dark fog but at the same time, the hope of light also knocked on her door. “My creations reflect those phases,” she said. “This phase comes in everyone’s life. Instead of getting disappointed, spreading light is a human power. My works are the expression of the common man. I see poems in every particle,” she said.
