Young talents honoured with Sur Jyotsna National Music Awards

Talented singer Dnyaneshwari Gadge and young classical singer Armaan Khan, the winners of the 11th edition of Sur Jyotsna National Music Awards 2024, were honoured at the hands of dignitaries at a glittering ceremony held at Divisional Sports Complex, Mankapur in Nagpur on Saturday. Legendary sarangi player Padma Vibhushan Pandit Ram Narayan and renowned violinist Padma Bhushan Dr L Subramaniam were honoured with ‘Legend’ awards whereas talented singer Roopkumar Rathod was honoured with the ‘Icon’ award. Renowned classical singer Padma Bhushan Ustad Rashid Khan and noted ghazal singer Padma Shri Pankaj Udhas were honoured posthumously on this occasion. Nagpur divisional commissioner Vijayalakshmi Bidari, district collector Dr Vipin Itankar, chairman of editorial board of Lokmat Media Group and former member of Rajya Sabha Dr Vijay Darda, editor-in-chief of Lokmat Media Group and former minister Rajendra Darda, Major General Sanjay Kumar Vidyarthi of the Corps of Engineers, GOC UM&G Sub Area, NCC commandant Kaushal Vyas, Air Marshal Vibhas Pande, Brigadier K Anand, principal chief commissioner of Income Tax Aparna Agarwal, managing director of Lokmat Media Group Devendra Darda, Rachana Darda, Shivaan Devendra Darda, former mayor of Jalgaon Rameshdada Jain, Jaya Ambhore of Nirmik Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha, renowned painter Sujata Bajaj, jury members of Sur Jyotsna National Music Awards Shashi Vyas, Sunali Roopkumar Rathod, Gouri Yadvadkar along with wife of Ustad Rashid Khan Joyeeta Khan, Dnyaneshwari’s parents Vandana and Ganesh Gadge, and other dignitaries graced the ceremony.
