Dr Vijay Darda performs aarti of Lord Ganesh at Sitaram Bhavan
The chairman of editorial board of Lokmat Media Group and former member of Rajya Sabha Dr Vijay Darda said here on Thursday that the devotees have been mesmerised by the attractive and beautiful Ganesha idol and the devotional ambience created in the area of worship by The Dharampeth Mahila Multi State Cooperative Society where festivities of 10-day Ganeshotsav are underway. The pious surroundings have also pleased the mind and soul, he further said.
Dr Darda paid obeisance to Lord Ganesh at the head office of The Dharampeth Mahila Multi State Cooperative Society situated at Sitaram Bhavan in Ramnagar and performed aarti.
Earlier, the chief advisor of the society Dr Kishore Bawane welcomed Dr Darda with a shawl and shrifal and apprised him of the festivities. This is the 29th year of the festival, Dr Bawane informed.
The president of the society Nilima Bawane, chairperson of Nirmik Gramin Vikas va Bahu-uddeshiya Sanstha Jaya Ambhore, general secretary of Maharashtra State Mahila Congress Dr Richa Jain, CEO of the society Chandrasekhar Wasule, senior managers Asmita Bawane, Archana Damke, Yogita Maind and Arvind Amburkar, vice-chairperson of Devta Life Foundation Kasturi Bawane, director Neelam Bowade, CA Shantanu Deshmukh, Yogita Deshmukh, Sonal Ambhore, officers, staff and devotees were present in large numbers. Nilima Bawane felicitated Jaya Ambhore and Dr Richa Jain on this occasion.
Dr Darda inspected Sitaram Bhavan and the ‘golden locker’ of the society. He lauded the progress of the society and the work of Devta Life Foundation for children suffering from cancer in the state.
