Dr darda calls on president

Chairman of Editorial Board of Lokmat Media Group and former member of Rajya Sabha Dr Vijay Darda called on President Droupadi Murmu at the Raj Bhavan in Nagpur on Wednesday. Dr Darda presented a bust of veteran freedom fighter and founder of Lokmat Media Group Jawaharlal Darda alias Babuji whose birth centenary was celebrated on July 2 this year. He also presented a garland made of cotton to the President. Both Dr Darda and President Murmu discussed several issues pertaining to the nation and social welfare. During the meeting, Dr Darda invited the President to inaugurate the national women lawyers’ conference in Yavatmal and also visit ‘Prerna Sthal’, the memorial of Babuji and statue of Mahatma Gandhi which is installed at Hanuman Akhada, a historical place of the nation.
