The Golden Jubilee of the Nagpur edition of ‘Lokmat’ is being celebrated in a grand manner. ‘Lokmat’ has undertaken the Vidarbha-level gratitude campaign to express its gratitude to the people who contributed in making ‘Lokmat’ the top Marathi daily of the country and also to those who were instrumental in achieving this grand success in fifty years. The Gratitude Award ceremony was concluded with enthusiasm in Wardha on Friday.
First of all, women achievers from the district were felicitated by the chairman of the editorial board of Lokmat Media and former member of Rajya Sabha Vijay Darda. These women took care of their family responsibility and also made their own distinct identities in various fields. Among them were Dr Vibha Gupta, Mangeshi Moon, Dr Sunita Shende, Deepali Sawant, Archana Ghugre, Savita Yelne, Sushma Sharma, Madhavi Chaudhary and Arya Takone. Vijay Darda presented a ‘shawl and shriphal’ while expressing his gratitude to the correspondents and agents associated with Nagpur edition of ‘Lokmat’ from day one. They were presented medals and mementos. It was a very emotional moment when the head of the ‘Lokmat’ family personally asked them their wellbeing. Not only this, Vijay Darda spent the whole day with them. On this occasion MP Ramdas Tadas, MLA Dr Pankaj Bhoyar, MLA Sameer Kunawar, MLA Dadarao Keche, executive editor of the Nagpur edition of ‘Lokmat’, Shrimant Mane, editor of Lokmat Samachar Vikas Mishra, senior general manager (Circulation) Santosh Chipda, head of ‘Lokmat’ Amravati edition Gajanan Chopde and general manager of ‘Lokmat’ Amravati Unit Sushant Dandge were prominently present. All the correspondents and agents of the district were present on the occasion. In the evening, a get-together was attended by several dignitaries of Wardha city and the district.
