Dr Vijay Darda meets Dhankhar, discusses several issues

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has praised the series of programmes being organised by Lokmat Media Group to celebrate the birth centenary of veteran freedom fighter and its founder Jawaharlal Darda alias Babuji. The Vice President has expressed his desire to visit Yavatmal to participate in the celebrations.

Chairman of editorial board of Lokmat Media Group and former member of Rajya Sabha Dr Vijay Darda called on the Vice President at his residence in Delhi on Friday. The political situation of the country and contemporary issues were discussed in the meeting.

Referring to the Rajya Sabha tenure of Dr Vijay Darda, Jagdeep Dhankhar recalled the topics and issues raised by him in Parliament and appreciated his valuable contribution to parliamentary democracy.

When Dr Vijay Darda informed Dhankhar about the various programmes being organised during the birth centenary year of Jawaharlal Darda, the Vice President appreciated the programmes and said he would also like to participate in them.

Dr Vijay Darda presented his book, “Public Issues Before Parliament”, to the Vice President. The book is based on topics and issues raised by him in the Parliament as well as his speeches during his tenure as a Rajya Sabha member.
