‘Humanity at centre of Bonde’s artwork’

Vijay Darda

“There is a lesson in the architecture of temples all over the world about what should be the philosophy of life through its art and spirituality. However, for thousands of years, man has been wandering in religious centres leading to the laboratory of religion. This thought is reflected in the art of Manali Bonde,” said Vijay Darda, chairman of Lokmat Editorial board and former member of Rajya Sabha.

He was speaking at the inauguration of young painter Manali Bonde’s ‘Rangakaranya’ painting and travel artlatux exhibition at Jawaharlal Darda Art Gallery at Lokmat Bhavan on Saturday. He said Manali’s artwork reflects a focus on man and humanity.

The exhibition is open for art lovers on March 12 and 13 from 11 am to 7 pm.

During the inaugural, famous architect Madhav Deshpande, father of Manali, former general secretary of BJP Kisan Morcha Dr Anil Bonde, mother Dr Vasudha Bonde, Sunil Bhuse, Naresh Adchule, Tanvi Adchule, Rishi Durge, Ameya Adchule, Utkarsh Adchule, Praveen Jumde and others were present.

The compositions created by Manali in her artwork are pleasing. Though the direction, vision, religion, karma, sensation and coolness are different in each, the merger and destruction in it is perfectly realised by Manali. In this exhibition, Manali depicts the different cultural values of different countries according to her travels. To date, she has travelled to 16-17 countries, drawing various ideas and their impact on social life through colours.

Two of her works have been exhibited in Mumbai and one in Mantralaya and this is the fourth exhibition in Nagpur. Darda wished her a bright future, adding that she has gained medical and scientific vision from her parents and was happy that she had an environmental inclination in her creativity.

Manali Bonde said, “A picture is like medicine received by the human senses and has a profound effect on human emotions. Paintings and pictures make people introspect.”
