Former Chief Justice of India and Rajya Sabha member Justice Ranjan Gogoi stressed the need to impart education of values, civilisation, culture, yoga and spirituality to the people. Yoga and spirituality are the only things that can establish peace in the world, he emphasised.
A four-day Global Summit 2022 was organised at Shantivan, the international headquarters of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, located off Abu Road in the Sirohi district of Rajasthan. The Global Summit 2022 titled ‘India the Harbinger of World Peace’, was inaugurated on Saturday.
On this occasion, Union minister of state for external affairs and culture Meenakshi Lekhi, former CJI and Rajya Sabha member Justice Ranjan Gogoi, minister of state for social justice and empowerment and Ardh Sainik Welfare in Haryana government Om Prakash Yadav, chief of Brahma Kumaris Rajyogini Dadi Ratanmohini, joint chief of Brahma Kumaris Rajyogini BK Santosh, chairman of editorial board of Lokmat Media and former member of Rajya Sabha Vijay Darda, president of Vanrai-People’s Movement for Green India, Pune, Ravindra Dharia, Chairman & MD of Hetero Group Dr Bandi Parthasaradhi Reddy, secretary general of Brahma Kumaris Rajayogi BK Nirwair Bhai, executive secretary of Brahma Kumaris Dr BK Mrityunjay, national editor of Dainik Bhaskar L P Pant, managing editor of Zee Hindustan, Noida, Shamsher Singh were present as the chief guests.
Referring to the Bhagavad Gita and Puranas, Justice Gogoi said the Indian culture and civilisation are timeless. While reciting the verses of Bhagavad Gita, he said whatever is happening today has been mentioned in Shrimad Bhagavad Gita by Lord Shri Krishna 10,000 years ago. We need to study the sacred book. He praised the works of Brahma Kumaris, saying that they have faith in Karmayoga and are imparting practical knowledge to society.
Meenakshi Lekhi said India has given civilisation, culture and peace to the world. What happiness will that person share with the world whose thoughts, minds and feelings lack happiness? To attain happiness, it is necessary to have the right mind and body. The dryness and misery in a person’s life are borne out of the thoughts that are in his mind. Whatever goes on in the mind is reflected in his thoughts. Hence, it is necessary that the mind and body of the person should be developed in a good environment. Our basic civilisation-culture has been peace. Peace will prevail all around if everyone lives happily which will lead to the proliferation of happiness and peace.
In his address, Om Prakash Yadav said while the developing countries were gripped with panic and fear during the coronavirus pandemic, India was the first country to develop the corona vaccine. The focus of our value system has been on ensuring the welfare of mankind.
Learn to respect other’s thoughts
Vijay Darda, Chairman of the Editorial Board of Lokmat Media Group and former member of Rajya Sabha, said that it is only India’s culture that is trying to play a pivotal role in establishing peace in the world. In order to establish peace in the world, it is essential that people learn to respect others’ beliefs and thoughts. Then disputes will arise. Follow your own belief. Practise your religion but listen to others also. Allow them to follow their path. Just as our religion is dear to us, so are others’ religions to them. He said that all the religions of the world give the message of peace and harmony. But most of the controversies are swirling around religion. I don’t know what makes some people think that their religion is better than any other religion. It is necessary to get this thing out of their mind.
Keep sharing happiness with all
The chief of Brahma Kumaris Rajyogini Dadi Ratanmohini said that everyone should keep sharing happiness in life. Everyone should keep showering affection. Today the whole world is eager to see a glimpse of Golden India. We all are the children of the one God, brothers and sisters amongst ourselves.
