Dr Vijay Darda meets Pawar, discusses various issues
While inaugurating a new Parliament building, it is also important to preserve the legacy of our democratic system in spite of challenges, feels Nationalist Congress Party president and senior leader Sharad Pawar.
The chairman of editorial board of Lokmat Media and former member of Rajya Sabha Dr Vijay Darda met Sharad Pawar at his ‘Silver Oak’ residence here on Wednesday and discussed various political developments with him. The birth centenary of the founder of Lokmat and veteran freedom fighter Jawaharlal Darda alias ‘Babuji’ would be celebrated on July 2. To mark the birth centenary, a special programme would be organised and Dr Darda has invited Sharad Pawar to attend the event. During his meeting with Pawar, Dr Darda also presented his recently-released book ‘Ringside – Up, Close and Personal on India and Beyond’ to him.
