The 7th Lokmat Sur Jyotsna National Music Awards were given away at a glittering ceremony held at Shanmukhananda Hall, Sion in Mumbai on Tuesday to honour some of the greatest music personalities. Prominent among those present on the dais were Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai Michio Harada, BMC commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal, DGP Hemant Nagrale, Jyotsna Darda’s brother Ramesh Jain, health minister Rajesh Tope, food and civil supplies minister Chhagan Bhujbal, Dr Pratit Samdani, PWD minister Ashok Chavan, veteran singer Anuradha Paudwal, veteran singer Roopkumar Rathod, Chairman of editorial board of Lokmat Media and former member of Rajya Sabha Vijay Darda, revenue minister Balasaheb Thorat, veteran music director Anandji Virji Shah, Leader of Opposition in the State Legislative Assembly Devendra Fadnavis, veteran singer Ajay Pohankar, MPCC chief Nana Patole, veteran Santoor player Pt. Satish Vyas, noted singer Kailash Kher, ISKCON’s spiritual guru Gaur Gopal Das, veteran singer Udit Narayan, noted singer Amruta Fadnavis, veteran singer Hariharan, Congress leader Manikrao Thakre, editor-in-chief of Lokmat Media Rajendra Darda, Congress leader Shivajirao Moghe, Intrea’s director Purva Kothari, textile minister Aslam Shaikh, BJP leader Ashish Shelar and Sam Balsara of Madison World.
