Gives mantra of introspection on ‘Celebrating Life’
Words have inherent powers to profoundly impact one’s life. The key to happiness lies within us all and only needs to be tapped to produce wonderful results in life. Saying “I am happy” can actually energize the soul and make the world so much better for an individual. This marvelous ‘mantra’ of living life was shared by international practitioner of Rajyoga and popular TV show personality Brahma Kumari Shivani at an engrossing spiritual discourse here on Sunday evening.
Expressing surprise at the use of words like “tension” and “stress” so commonly, Shivani noted that people rarely used to refer to their emotional conditions in such strong terms earlier. “We have moved on from tension to stress to depression now,” she observed, lamenting that even the youth were now suffering from “depression” in everyday life. Negativity on the tongue leads to darkness in the mind and the soul. Reiteration nurses self-doubt and creates an atmosphere of negativity. The soul searches for peace and people go to places of worship for tranquility, she observed.
Shivani “Didi” as she is commonly called, said that the solace that one gets in a place of worship can be attained through positivity at home or at the workplace. “Life can be turned into a celebration by using positive words in life,” the celebrated speaker remarked.
She was delivering a lecture on “Celebrating Life” at the packed indoor stadium of Divisional Sports Complex at Mankapur on Sunday evening. Chairman of editorial board of Lokmat Media and former member of Rajya Sabha Dr Vijay Darda, former MP Ajay Sancheti, director of Brahma Kumaris, Nagpur Rajani Didi, MLA Vikas Thakre, MLA Mohan Mate, former minister of state Adv Sulekha Kumbhare, former MLA Ashish Deshmukh, divisional commissioner Vijayalakshmi Bidari, district collector Dr Vipin Itankar, municipal commissioner Abhijit Chaudhari, income tax commssioner Kailash Kanojiya, regional commissioner of social welfare department Siddharth Gaikwad, commissioner (MGNREGA) Ajay Gulhane, commissioner (skill development) Sunanda Bajaj, central member of Khadi and Village Industries Commission Jaiprakash Gupta, director of Haldiram Food International Shivkisan Agrawal, general manager of The Hitavada Rajendra Purohit, director of Dainik Bhaskar Sumit Agrawal and other dignitaries were present as distinguished guests.
Shivani expressed bemusement at people allowing themselves to be overpowered by stress in life. “Why allow it to become a status symbol,” she posed. Engaging the audience in an interactive talk she made them take a resolution to remain positive steadfastly and energize their inner selves. Every word has its own vibration and is capable of creating an atmosphere of how a person feels. “If you tell yourself you are happy, you would be. Physical pain too can diminish as the soul finds solace and strength in words,” she said.
